The County of San Mateo, Department of Housing, Housing and Community Development (DOH-HCD) team is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Financial Services Manager II to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the DOH-HCD financial program areas; develop and implement program goals, policies and priorities; provide highly responsible and complex financial reporting and  administrative support to senior level management; supervise staff support and coordinate a variety of administrative support functions within the assigned department; develop, implement and interpret line administrative policies and procedures; and train and direct assigned personnel. San Mateo County is in the heart of the San Francisco Peninsula. It offers a wide range of recreational pursuits, economic opportunities and numerous attractions. The 778,000 residents of the County enjoy the benefits of rural open space, temperate climate and clean air, as well as close proximity to San Francisco and San Jose. DOH-HCD is federally funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), various State of California programs, County of San Mateo Measure K tax revenues, and other resources with an annual budget of more than $100 million. DOH-HCD collaborates with diverse stakeholders to facilitate the development and preservation of affordable housing through the provision of local, state and federal funding, along with the sharing of best practices and innovative policies.   DOH-HCD supports public service agencies, microenterprises, homeless and transitional shelters, core services and fair housing organizations through grant funding and technical assistance. Our mission is to increase the supply of affordable housing and create opportunities for people at all income levels and abilities to prosper by supporting livable and thriving communities. The salary range for this position is $135,054 to $168,883 annually.
