The City of West Palm Beach is seeking to hire a Housing and Community Development Specialist that performs specialized work in the administration of federal, state, and local housing programs. Responsibilities include conducting interviews and intake to determine applicant eligibility, and processing, underwriting, and closing housing loans and subsidies. Additional duties include review of mortgages and loans, creating databases and reports, coordinating orientations and trainings, preparing environmental reviews, and other duties as assigned.
The position requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of mortgage financing and real estate practices, and the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations while providing quality customer service. The starting salary is $26.22 per hour, for additional benefits, please see website.
